Special discounts for children, students and travellers over the age of 65
Are you 65+ or younger than 12 years old? Then you are entitled to travel with a 34% age discount on all buses, trams and metros in the Netherlands. You have always had this option with your personal OV chip card, and now also when you travel with your debit card (or credit card).
As a student you can also use the student travel product. We list the various discounts for you.
34% discount for those over 65 years old

34% discount for children 4 to 11 years old
Now also available on the debit card
Children also travel extra cheaply with HTM. Children up to 3 years of age travel free, of course together with a paying adult. Children aged 4 to 11 receive an age reduction of 34% on the fare.

Travel for free with the student travel product
Choose the week or weekend subscription
MBO, HBO and University students can use the student travel product. With this, students travel by public transport free of charge. This can be done with a Week or Weekend subscription.
