Regio abonnement

• When checkin in within zones where the travel product is valid, no balance is debited from the OV-chipkaart.
• The zones (the area) where the travel product is valid depends on the chosen travel area and star value.
• Regio Abonnement is only valid on a personal OV-chipkaart and can only be used by the cardholder.
• It is mandatory to check in and out when you get in and out.
• Checking in is only possible with a positive balance of at least € 0,00.
• The travel product can start on any day chosen by the customer and is valid until the relevant day of the following month.
• You can stop the product until the second day or exchange the product at HTM Service Shops.
  • When you terminate, you get the full amount back, without any costs. 
  • When exchanging, any additional costs will be charged at no extra administrative cost
• With clear evidence, such as a doctor's or death certificate, you can terminate the subscription retroactively.
  • The evidence must show that the cardholder was unable to travel dureing the period of illness. Repayment to relatives comes after evidence of inheritance.
• Please note: Regio abonnement cannot be on the same OV-chipkaart as:

  • ABC van RET
  • Traject Vrij abonnement van NS
  • Class change to 1st class for the train.
• No rights can be derived from these product conditions.

Which OV-chipkaart?

Regio abonnement can only be loaded onto a personal OV-chipkaart, which has the user's photo on it. The Regio Abonnement cannot be issued on an anonymous OV-chipkaart or Bedrijvenkaart.

Rate of Regio abonnement in 2024:

From € 39,- per month – depending on the star value.

• You can request a free refund up to and including the 2nd day after the start of the season ticket, provided you have not yet used the season ticket.
• This product is usable for every age group. Travellers aged 4 to 18 and over 65 pay at a reduced rate.

When you apply for the OV-chipkaart, a travel product of a transport company and while travelling, personal data are obtained from you. This data is needed, among other things, to execute the concluded agreement. The personal OV-chipkaart is purchased from the card issuer Translink. Translink is responsible for processing the personal data relating to the card, including termination, blocking in case of loss and theft. The travel product is purchased from the transport company itself. The transport company is responsible for processing the personal data related to the travel product and you the travel data. The processing of personal data by the transport company is subject to the privacy policy of the transport company, which can be viewed on the website or requested from the Customer Service Desk.
