House rules bus

HTM bus rijdt in Den Haag

To make your journey as comfortable as possible, a number of house rules apply in HTM's vehicles. In addition to the general house rules, it is also good to know:

Boarding - On the bus, you always board with the driver. If you have a larger pram or wheelchair, check with the driver whether you can board via the middle door. There is limited space for prams and wheelchairs on the bus, the bus driver will indicate if there is still room.

Bicycles - Bicycles are not allowed on the bus.

Stop button - Press the stop button if you want to get off, the bus driver will stop at the next stop.

Priority seating - In every bus, some seats are reserved for disabled, elderly and pregnant women. These spots are marked with a recognisable sticker and can be found behind the bus driver, at the front of the bus.

Travelling with a wheelchair - HTM buses have a special retractable board that allows passengers in a hand-driven wheelchair to enter and exit the bus. For safety reasons, a wheelchair with an auxiliary motor (electric chair, mobility scooter) is unfortunately not allowed on the bus. If a foldable mobility scooter is folded and does not exceed 120 cm (length) by 70 cm (width) by 109 cm (height), it is allowed on the bus. Please note: HTM's E-buses (line 28) do allow electric chairs on board.
